Vinous Wine Bar occupies the Hubbards building in downtown Sanford, a historic three-story structure in downtown Sanford that now holds a working wine shop and bar across more than 4,000 square feet. The ground floor pours from a list of more than 100 wines by the glass or bottle, and a third-floor retail room stocks hundreds more. The ground floor is a working wine shop with a bar built into the middle of it, and weddings, birthdays, and business gatherings are among the events the venue takes on.
A couple marrying here makes the shelves and the retail floor upstairs part of the day.

The Wine
The bar's identity is its inventory, with a much deeper retail stock on the third floor. The space is built for people standing, glasses in hand, moving between a bar and shelves of bottles. A wedding here inherits that rhythm: a room meant for tasting and conversation.

The shop comes with its surfaces already dressed: shelving, a bar top and a busy retail floor. The work here leans toward fewer, denser arrangements set where the room gathers its focus: on the bar, at a ceremony spot, or on a gift table.
