Vidrio is a Mediterranean restaurant in downtown Raleigh. The kitchen serves Mediterranean-inspired small and large plates alongside hand-crafted cocktails and an award-winning wine selection. The second floor of the building is set up as an event space, separate from the ground-floor dining room, built to hold gatherings of several different sizes.

That second floor is where a wedding happens. It is defined by handblown glass installations and floor-to-ceiling windows.

Main Banquet Room and Fiera Bar & Lounge

The Main Banquet Room is the largest of Vidrio's private spaces. It carries dramatic artwork, warm lighting, and a contemporary fireplace. Fiera Bar & Lounge, the second of the two large second-floor rooms, holds 55 seated or 75 standing behind its own floor-to-ceiling windows, with an indoor-outdoor energy, the kind of room suited to a cocktail hour that spills toward the glass.

Both rooms are on the second floor and reached by elevator, and a wedding can move between them over the course of the evening.

Library Room, Mezzanine, and Dressing Suite

The Library Room, on the ground floor, is Vidrio's smallest private space: an intimate room for 22 seated, suited to family celebrations and intimate dinners around the wedding. Upstairs, the Mezzanine overlooks the building's glass wall and holds 44 seated or 75 standing, a room suited to cocktail-style events. The Dressing Suite is reserved for wedding parties only, a private space for up to 20 guests with its own restroom, set aside for the hours before a couple's ceremony.

What We Design Here

Handblown glass and floor-to-ceiling windows set the terms in these rooms: work with weight and a clear silhouette holds its own against the glass and light. The fireplace end of the Main Banquet Room gives a natural anchor for a low, dense arrangement, while the window line along Fiera Bar & Lounge and the Mezzanine rewards anything that catches the light, pale material and clear or lightly tinted vessels that let the glass stay the brightest thing in the room.

Color carries differently here than in a room with more texture to absorb it. Against Vidrio's neutral walls and glass, a saturated palette, deep or jewel-toned, reads with real force, and a monochrome or tonal arrangement reads as deliberate. Scale should follow the room: full and structural in the Main Banquet Room, smaller and more precise in the Library Room, where a large piece would crowd the space.

Practical

Vidrio is in Glenwood South, an easy walk from other restaurants and bars in the same stretch of downtown. Street parking is available, along with nearby garages, including the 510 Glenwood Ave Garage next door. Area lodging is worth confirming with the venue when you book. Vidrio's private events team handles dates and details directly.
