The Woman’s Club of Raleigh

Location: 3300 Woman's Club Dr, Raleigh, NC 27612 Capacity: Up to 420 guests (Daniels Ballroom, combined) Type: Historic Club / Ballroom Website: mirrorsvenue.com

The Woman's Club of Raleigh has served the community since 1904, and its clubhouse now operates as an event venue under the name Mirrors Venue.

The club rents out 6 spaces, among them a pair of small parlors and a two-level ballroom, along with an exterior garden. The ballroom is the reception room, with the garden available as an outdoor ceremony option.

The Daniels Ballroom

The Daniels Ballroom is built in two connected sections, an upper ballroom of 1,156 square feet and a lower ballroom of 2,880 square feet, 4,036 square feet combined. The room includes a large stage, a dance floor, and an audio-visual system, so a band, a DJ, or a ceremony has a built-in focal point.

The Exterior Garden

The landscaped garden and includes a small stage of its own, convenient to the kitchen.

The Lobby and Parlors

The Lobby is 2,000 square feet and sits adjacent to the Daniels Ballroom, used for receptions and cocktail parties. The Stevens Dining Room, 613 square feet, has floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the garden. President's Parlor holds a working grand piano and is often rented alongside the smaller Maddrey Parlor next door for a rehearsal dinner or a smaller gathering.

What We Design Here

The Daniels Ballroom's two levels change how flowers behave in the room: work at the stage end needs enough scale to carry across the full room, while table arrangements on the lower level sit close enough for guests to see the detail. A warm, traditional room like this one holds color and structure well against the stage end of the room, which favors work with depth and weight over anything pale or loose.

For an outdoor ceremony in the garden, an aisle or arch treatment that brings its own color and form gives the eye a place to land. Moving the same palette from the garden into the dining room's window light and back to the ballroom's stage ties the whole day together, outside and in.

Practical

The club sits off Glenwood Avenue, a short drive from downtown Raleigh. Events are booked through Mirrors Venue's event coordinator, and the club works with a number of area caterers using its on-site commercial kitchen. Parking and area lodging are worth confirming with the venue when you book.
