The Harrington sits on nearly 400 acres of working farmland outside Broadway. The hall itself was built for events, and the farm is visible from inside the room.
Inside, the hall holds one open, two-story room in neutral tones, a palette that leaves the space open to whatever a couple designs into it. The scale of the room is the first thing a couple notices: a single volume tall enough to hold a ceremony, a dinner, and a dance floor without feeling divided into stations.
The Hall
The main level is 6,000 square feet, a two-story room lit by three chandeliers, with large fold-open doors along one wall for the dining and dancing floor. A kitchen and prep room sit off the main level for the catering team, along with four bathrooms. Upstairs, a bridal suite and a groom's suite give each side of the wedding party its own space to prepare before the day starts below.
The Grounds
An 11-acre pond with its own dock sits across from the hall, set up as a waterfront ceremony site. A covered outdoor pavilion, decorated with lights, stands to one side of the hall for a cocktail hour or a quieter stretch of the evening away from the main room. Thirty acres of the property are landscaped grounds around the hall and pond.
What We Design Here
The tall room's neutral finishes give a florist two different scales to work in the same space: tall, structural pieces read against the height at the entry and over the dance floor, while the dining tables call for something lower and denser. Because the walls and floor give back so little color of their own, an arrangement's palette carries the whole room.
At the pond, the water and the open field behind it already carry the setting, so the strongest arrangements there tend to be the simplest: a single marker at the end of the dock, built to hold up in open air. Under the lit pavilion, the closer, lower setting calls for warmer, denser color than the open pond does.
Practical
Broadway is a small town southwest of Raleigh. On-site parking is available. Area lodging is worth confirming with the venue when you book. Exclusive venue use runs a full day, giving a wedding party time on the property from setup through the end of the night. The venue's events team handles availability and scheduling directly.
