Haven Farm sits on more than 40 acres in Knightdale, about 20 minutes from downtown Raleigh by way of I-540. A whitewash barn anchors the property, with orchard gardens, an open-air pavilion, and a cluster of smaller buildings used for getting ready, hosting, and staying over.
The barn has a modern farmhouse look: a clean whitewash shell, a custom oak chandelier overhead, and rows of X-back chairs that read the same in daylight or under string lights. It is built to run a full wedding day end to end, ceremony chairs stacked against one wall in the morning, a dance floor cleared by evening.
The Barn
The barn is the venue's largest room and its main event space. The venue seats up to 200 guests for a plated dinner, 165 for a buffet-style dinner, and holds up to 300 for a cocktail-style reception. The whitewash walls and the oak chandelier give the room one consistent look regardless of the layout, so the backdrop stays the same from the seated dinner to the open dance floor. The property also lists a backup generator and wheelchair accessibility among its standard amenities.
The Pavilion
An open A-frame pavilion sits apart from the barn, covered and open-sided, and it serves as both the outdoor option and the rain plan for a ceremony or cocktail hour. Set slightly away from the barn, it gives a wedding a second scene: guests can walk from an outdoor ceremony under the pavilion roof to a reception in the barn.
The Stable and the Homestead
The Stable serves as the property's getting-ready space and welcome center for arriving guests. The Homestead is a separate, fully equipped 3-room kitchen and living space used for wedding-day preparation, and it also operates as overnight lodging on other nights, with 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms.
What We Design Here
The barn's white walls and oak chandelier take color well, even in small doses: warm, layered work shows clearly against the whitewash, and taller pieces suit the high roofline. Outdoors, the pavilion and the orchard grounds ask for looser, more textured work that blends into what is already growing there. We build for both halves of the property differently: structured and a little formal in the barn, relaxed and garden-toned outside, so the wedding can shift character from ceremony to reception and still feel like one day.
Practical
Haven Farm is in Knightdale, about 2 miles off I-540 at the Buffaloe Road exit and roughly a 20-minute drive from hotels in downtown Raleigh. The property also runs a retail shoppe on-site, for anyone visiting ahead of a tour. The venue's events team handles tours, availability, and floor plans directly.
