The Grand Marquise Ballroom sits inside the Garner home of Anfesa's Jewelers, a family-owned jeweler at the same Garner address. The room runs on classical lines: marble columns, coffered ceilings, and crystal chandeliers overhead, carried all the way from the entry to the ballroom floor.
Guests arrive through the marble Grand Entry Parlor before the ballroom doors open, and a grand iron staircase gives the room its signature moment, made for a first look or an entrance. The couple's private quarters sit on a mezzanine balcony above the ballroom itself, so the couple walks down one staircase from getting ready to the reception, and the couple gets a view down into the room before they are in it.
The Ballroom
Marble columns anchor the room at floor level, and ornate trim carries the eye up to coffered ceiling panels hung with crystal chandeliers. The coffered panels and chandeliers give the ceiling a finished look from the floor, so our work stays at eye level and on the tables. Columns break up a room this size into sections without walls, which matters for how a couple can plan a floor plan: a head table, a dance floor, and a run of guest tables can each read as its own area while the room stays open end to end.
The Grand Entry Parlor and Staircase
The marble parlor is the room guests pass through first, and the venue treats it as part of the celebration. It sets the material palette for everything that follows: the same marble and the same formality guests will find once the ballroom doors open. The venue points to the grand iron staircase as its backdrop for a first look or an entrance, a permanent part of the building's architecture.
The Mezzanine Quarters
The couple's private quarters sit on the mezzanine balcony, above and open to the ballroom below. From up there, the couple can watch the room come together while they are still getting dressed, and a single staircase takes them down to the ceremony or reception.
The Kitchen
A full-service kitchen on site gives caterers a real working space, and the venue works with a regular roster of vetted catering partners.
What We Design Here
A room built from marble and crystal asks for arrangements with real presence: height, weight, and a finish that stays visible under chandelier light without disappearing into the architecture. Pale, luminous palettes, ivory through soft gold, catch the crystal light and warm the marble. Deeper, saturated palettes read as drama against the same light stone and read well from across a room this size.
Scale leads in a room this size. Tall work at the tables draws the eye up toward the coffered ceiling, and larger structural pieces at the entry parlor and along the staircase rail carry the formality of the architecture into the parts of the day that happen before guests ever reach the ballroom floor. The columns give us natural anchor points for that work, so pieces can mark the move from one section of the room to the next.
