Henderson Country Club is the only private country club in Vance, Granville, and Warren counties, which makes it the single gathering point for three counties. The club traces its founding to 1923, and the 18-hole course that anchors it has been through several eras since, most notably a 1968 redesign by Gene Hamm, the same architect behind North Ridge Country Club in Raleigh and Roanoke Country Club in Virginia.
For a wedding, that history shows in the place itself: a clubhouse and grounds that have hosted the community's occasions for decades, arranged the way a country club arranges itself, golf course on one side, dining and event rooms on the other.
The Ballroom

The 18-hole course is built for a slower kind of beauty, fairways and mature landscaping shaped since 1923, and a ceremony held on the grounds borrows that scale directly: open sky, long sightlines, and a course shaped by decades of tournament play.
What We Design Here
A ballroom with this much height and daylight rewards tall arrangements that draw the eye from the tables up toward the ceiling. The large windows mean the palette should be considered against both directions of light: bright and clear for an afternoon reception, warmer and more saturated once evening arrives and the room is lit from within.
Outdoors, the course is the backdrop, so ceremony work stays simple. We mark the spot for the vows with a single structure, line the aisle with a few markers, and choose a palette that glows against the green, so the ceremony feels part of the landscape.
