Enchanted Gardens sits in New Hill, on the western edge of Wake County. The property was formerly Shady Wagon Farm, and it keeps the barn, the pond and the cluster of smaller buildings it was known for, set among older trees.

The Big Barn
The Big Barn is the venue's main reception room, a wood-sided barn built to hold more than 200 people. The interior keeps its high vaulted ceiling and weathered wood, strung overhead with lights, and it is finished for a full sit-down dinner and dancing. The Pavilion, behind the barn, is an open-air structure on a lawn used for cocktail hour and lawn games (cornhole, horseshoes, giant Jenga); the venue also offers it as a Plan B ceremony space in bad weather.
The Dock by the Pond and the Arbor
The Dock by the Pond has an arbor at the head of the aisle and looks out over a one-acre pond, so the water sits behind the couple through the ceremony. The Arbor sits among the property's trees, strung with climbing vines and open to soft, filtered light, a second ceremony site for couples who want a wooded setting. McCoy Cabin, elsewhere on the grounds, is kept as a separate setting for wedding-day portraits.
The Manor, the Sugar Shack, and the Dressing Suites
The Manor, more than 6,000 square feet, is finished with Brazilian cherry hardwood floors, marble countertops, a butler's pantry, and both indoor and outdoor fireplaces. It gives a wedding party a private space to gather away from the reception. The Sugar Shack houses the venue's in-house catering kitchen. The Dressing Suites, known on-site as the Primp'N Parlor and the Grooming Station, give the bride's party and the groom's party separate rooms to prepare in before the ceremony.
What We Design Here
A barn interior this dark and wood-heavy carries color best when the palette leans warm and a little dense: deep, saturated tones read clearly against timber and string light in a way that pale, airy work can lose. Outdoors, at the pond and under the arbor, the water and the tree line already set the scene, so the design can sit lower and quieter and keep the eye on the couple. In both places we lean on texture: loose, garden-cut arrangements suit the property's unfinished, working-farm character. Because the day moves between several distinct spaces, we build the color story to carry across all of them, so the ceremony site, the cocktail lawn, and the barn read as one wedding.
Practical
New Hill sits southwest of Raleigh, in western Wake County. The Manor is a private gathering space for the wedding party; couples book area accommodations separately.
