The Bradford opened in New Hill in 2014, newly built in the manner of a European countryside home. The property covers sixteen acres, and the buildings and gardens were designed together from the start.
A couple booking a wedding here gets the run of the main house's downstairs, two ballrooms, a terrace, and the gardens, along with two private getting-ready suites and the John Robert Suite. The venue also runs its own in-house planning division, Anthem House, which has planned weddings for couples across the Triangle for years, so a couple can work with one team from the first meeting through the wedding day.
Two cottages sit on-site for the wedding party, so the celebration does not end with everyone driving home.
The Main House and Grounds
The main house holds the two ballrooms, the getting-ready suites, and the John Robert Suite, with the terrace and gardens opening off the house for ceremonies and cocktail hour. The venue keeps the layout on one property, so a couple can move a wedding day from ceremony to cocktails to reception without a shuttle or a second address.
The Cottages
The Bailey Cottage and the Briar Suite give the wedding party a place to stay on site. The Bailey Cottage has two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a kitchen and dining area, and sleeps up to eight guests. The Briar Suite is a one-bedroom space built for two, with a king bed and a full bathroom. The Briar Suite sits adjacent to the Bailey Cottage, and both are reserved exclusively for Bradford couples and their guests.
What We Design Here
The Bradford's own language is European and countryside: stone, stucco and gardens with a settled, long-established look. That reads best in work with some weight to it: aged vessels, brass and stone containers, and arrangements with a loose, gathered structure. The palette that suits the architecture leans warm and soft, ivory through blush through sage, so the flowers feel like an extension of the stone.
Because the ceremony and reception spaces sit close together on one property, we design with the whole day's light in mind:: an outdoor ceremony that reads well in afternoon sun, moving into a ballroom built to carry candlelight into the evening. Scale should follow the room. The gardens and terrace can hold larger, looser installations that read against open sky; the ballrooms and the main house's interior spaces call for arrangements built to be seen up close, on a mantel or a tablescape, where guests sit near enough to notice the structure.

The Bradford is in New Hill, North Carolina. The venue's own planning team, Anthem House, handles logistics for couples who book through the property, and the events team can be reached at sales@thebradfordnc.com.
