Durham and RTP, driven over from Raleigh
Every Durham and RTP order is made in our studio on Oak Meadow Lane in Northwest Raleigh and delivered by our own team. Before it leaves, the designer photographs the finished arrangement and sends you the picture. Durham ZIPs 27701, 27703, 27704, 27705, 27707, 27708, 27709 (Research Triangle Park) and 27710 to 27713 are all served the same way: enter your ZIP on this page for today's cutoff and the current delivery charge.
The roads decide the day. Duke comes by I-40 or Highway 147. North Durham comes up I-85 and along North Roxboro Street, a route predictable enough that we can plan timing around it.
For an office in Research Triangle Park, the same rules apply as anywhere with a lobby. Mark the address as commercial at checkout and add the suite number or floor; it helps our drivers through larger buildings. Where everything goes to a front desk, the recipient gets a text from us when the driver is on the way. We also deliver to the Sheraton Imperial Hotel and Convention Center on Emperor Boulevard inside the Park. For a guest staying in a hotel, our note on sending flowers to a hotel room covers the name on the reservation and the one call to the front desk.
In the city, the office runs go downtown and to the Brightleaf District, and to the renovated tobacco buildings at American Tobacco Campus, where Bay 7 is one of the spaces. Homes run from Trinity Park near Duke to Duke Forest along West Campus and down to Hope Valley in south Durham, whose streets around the country club were laid out in the 1920s. There we deliver to Old Hope Valley, the newer sections in Hope Valley Farms and the businesses at Hope Valley Commons on NC-751 and Garrett Road. We have also learned the occasional unpaved Durham driveway. All of it is on our Durham page.
Duke University Hospital sits on Erwin Road, about twenty-five to thirty minutes from the studio depending on traffic. We deliver to the front desk and information station, and hospital staff route flowers to the room. Duke Cancer Center and Duke Children's Hospital are separate buildings with different routing, so tell us which one. Intensive care, the bone marrow transplant unit and some oncology areas do not allow fresh flowers; call us and we can time the delivery for a move to a step-down unit. Rooms may be shared at a teaching hospital, so a piece sized for a bedside table works best. Duke Regional Hospital on North Roxboro Street is smaller, and our drivers deliver to its front desk. Give the patient's full name; the desks can find people by name.
For services we coordinate directly with the funeral directors at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service on West Main Street downtown, Clements Funeral & Cremation Services on Broad Street, and Peaks & Waters Memorial on North Roxboro Street. The same drivers bring flowers to Washington Duke Inn on Cameron Boulevard and The Durham Hotel.
At a house, if nobody answers, the arrangement goes to a covered porch or a neighbor, never into direct sun, with a note or a text saying where. You get an email when it is out for delivery and another when it has been delivered.
