Boss's Day 2026 is Friday, October 16. If you are the one sending boss's day flowers on behalf of a team, send one arrangement from all of you, sized for a desk, in warm coral tones. Order a few days ahead. At checkout, mark the address as commercial, add the suite and floor, use your boss's full name, and sign the card from the team. The delivery charge depends on where the office is, so check it before the team settles on a total. Enter your ZIP for the current delivery charge. The next Administrative Professionals Day is Wednesday, April 21, 2027, and almost everything below works for it too.
"I wanted to send flowers as a professional thank-you," Stephanie wrote in a review of Hidden Door. "The florist even sent a courtesy email with a photo of the arrangement before delivery." When she emailed to say thanks for the picture, she learned that "the business office where the flowers were originally supposed to be delivered had already closed," and that "they kindly called the recipient and then went out of their way to deliver the arrangement to the recipient’s home address." The office had closed for the day, and the flowers still found their person.
October 16 lands on a Friday this year
Boss's Day keeps a fixed date. Patricia Bays Haroski, then working at State Farm in Deerfield, Illinois, registered the holiday in 1958 and picked October 16 because it was her father's birthday. When the sixteenth falls on a weekend, it moves to the closest work day.
That makes life easy for whoever is organizing, because you can see it coming. A thank-you from a whole department is worth planning, and the studio's how-it-works page says as much. "If it’s a moment that deserves more, give us a few days to do it justice." Order the week before and let it go.
If your boss works from home on Fridays, send it to the house. If they are traveling, send it Thursday and let the card explain.
Sized for the desk it will sit on
Think about the desk first. "An arrangement for a reception desk calls for something different than one for a dinner table," the business page says, and a working desk is smaller again. Leave room for a laptop and a coffee cup, and keep it low enough to talk over in a one-on-one. Keep the scent soft too, since it shares the air with everyone who walks past. For color, the studio's occasion guide ties warm coral tones to "genuine gratitude and appreciation."
For a pooled gift the easiest order is Designer's Choice Custom Budget. The page asks for one thing. "Tell us your budget and the occasion, and our designer will build something for it." One person collects the money and places the order, and whatever the team pooled becomes the arrangement. If you would rather pick a size, Designer's Choice lets you do that. If the team knows your boss's favorite colors, put them in the checkout note. The total stays private. The order confirmation goes only to the person who placed it, and the recipient never sees pricing.
The photo Stephanie mentioned comes with every order, before the arrangement leaves the studio. Forward it to the group chat and everyone who chipped in knows what they sent before the boss does.
Getting it past the front desk
At an office, Boss's Day flowers depend on the front desk finding the right person. The full name does most of that work, and the suite and floor do the rest. Anything else the driver should know goes in the delivery instructions. Our drivers know the offices near Crabtree Valley and the office parks along Wake Forest Road and Capital Boulevard. Our business delivery page walks through what happens after that.
When the driver is on the way, the recipient gets a text, which means, in the business page's words, "Reception watches for the driver and carries the arrangement straight in." That same text is how a closed office gets sorted out. "If they are out of the office that day, they call us and we settle on a better time together." The delivery emails come to you, so you can stay at your own desk and act surprised with everyone else.
The card, then a Wednesday in April
The card holds up to 300 characters in your words, and the checkout reminds you to sign your name. For a team gift, that name is the team. A dozen first names will fit, or sign it from the department. For the message itself, try something like "Happy Boss's Day. Thank you for the way you run a Monday meeting and for having our backs in the spring. From all of us on the fourth floor." One real thing your boss does is enough.
Then put April on the calendar. Administrative Professionals Day falls on Wednesday, April 21, 2027, the date given by the International Association of Administrative Professionals, which started the day in 1952. Administrative Professionals Week runs around it, Sunday, April 18 to Saturday, April 24, so any workday that week can carry the thanks. It began as National Secretaries Week, which is why some people still say Secretaries Day. A team that sends to the boss in October will want to do as much for the person at the front desk in April.
Administrative Professionals Day flowers follow the same steps, with one change in size. For an assistant at the front desk, the arrangement sits on a reception counter where visitors see it all day, so it can be a little fuller, sized for a counter with a phone and a sign-in sheet on it. The card reads differently too. "For knowing where everything is, and for every save nobody else noticed. Happy Administrative Professionals Day, from the whole team." If you are the boss sending to your own staff, sign it yourself. A box of Artisan Macarons can come along in the same delivery, and a front desk is a good place for a box meant to be shared.
To see the range, browse our Boss's Day flowers. When the team is ready, the Custom Budget page takes the team's total in its budget field, and one line in the note does the rest: "Boss's Day, Friday, October 16."
